What are UPVC double glazed windows?
Traditionally, uPVC frames are fitted with two (there can be more supplied) pane of glass, with a space of 12mm to 16mm between them. The space between the two glass panes are held in place with what’s known as a ‘spacer bar’, which tends to be filled with air or with argon gas. The reasoning behind the gap / layer of air between the two panes is for insulation improvement, thus making it energy efficient.
