The benefits of trimming your new windows and doors is not only that they look great, but also it makes it easier to ensure that the expanding foam we use to really seal and insulate the frames to the brickwork gets completely into the gap between the window and brick. This is then covered entirely, usually with a square trim on the top of the window and quadrant on the sides.

The trim is stuck onto the window with construction strength superglue and activator so it will never just fall off, then is sealed to the window with Stelmax small gap sealer that gives it an integral look. The last step is securing everything to the brickwork with silicone, thus ensuring the perfect seal with no chance of drafts or whistling noises.

Don't worry if your home is rendered or pebble-dashed we will still trim and seal your products with silicone before rendering or pebble-dashing to give the perfect finish to your new windows and doors.

The inside of your new units are trimmed with a flat 25mm architrave on the bottom and combinations of square and quadrant top and sides depending on whether you have net curtains or blinds, whichever suits your situation best. Again, we Stelmax the trim to the window and then use painters caulk against the wall for a truly perfect, professional finish.
